Some banks and financial institutions have implemented new security measures to combat fraud. You may need to verify who you are before the transaction will go through. To make sure your payments go through smoothly, keep your bank, credit card, and Microsoft account contact details up to date.

You may also see some phishing emails about non-payment issues. If you're not sure, never click links in an email, but go direct to your bank's website. You can access your Microsoft Account at https://account.microsoft.com/profile/.

You can only use PayPal accounts that have a credit card or confirmed bank account as a funding source. To use PayPal with your Microsoft account, make sure your PayPal account uses an accepted funding source.
Can’t pay with PayPal

If you cannot complete payment with your PayPal account, ensure your linked credit card has sufficient funds, or has not expired.
I need to change my payment method for a third-party Microsoft 365 subscription
