Quick tips: Get started with Meetings
Use Microsoft Teams to schedule meetings and manage your calendar. Choose to meet in person, or online through video. Meet not only with your coworkers, but also people outside of your company, even if they don't have a Microsoft Teams license.
Schedule a meeting
You can choose to create an online or in-person meeting in Teams.

Open Teams and go to Calendar.

Select New meeting.

Add a title and add attendees to the meeting. You can add people from inside or outside your company, including those who don't have a Teams license. Add their full email address to invite them.

Add the date, time, and length of the meeting.

If your meeting is in person, add a location to meet. If it is an online meeting, make sure that Online meeting is selected.

Select Save.
Meeting invitations will be emailed to all invitees, which they can accept or decline. Users who don't have a Microsoft Teams license can join the meeting through Teams for the web through their web browser.

Join a meeting from Teams
Join a Microsoft Teams meeting from your Teams calendar.

Go to your Teams calendar.

Find the meeting you are scheduled to join and select Join.

From the pre-join screen:

Turn on your camera.

Select Background filters to choose a background effect.

Choose your audio settings.
-

Select Join now.

Join a meeting as a guest on the web
Sending a Teams meeting invitation to someone who does not have Teams? They can still join as a guest.

In the email invitation, select Join the meeting now.
They can also use a dial-in number and conference ID from the email to call in.

When prompted, they can select choose to Continue in the browser to open the meeting in Teams on the web. Or, they can choose to Continue in the Teams app if they want to download the use a version of the Teams desktop app. This lets them download and use a version of the Teams desktop app with basic functionality, which they can use if they have a Microsoft account.

Type their name.

Choose their audio and video settings.

Select Join now.

Depending on meeting settings, they'll get in right away, or go to a lobby where someone in the meeting will admit them.

Start an instant meeting
You can choose to meet instantly with others in Microsoft Teams:

In Teams - Choose a channel, select the camera icon, and select Meet now.

In Chat, choose a conversation and select Meet now. The drop-down menu allows you to select a video call or audio call.

Invite others to a current meeting
Want someone to join your ad-hoc meeting?

Select People to invite people at any time.

Type a name or phone number into the box.

Select Request to join on who you want to invite.
If the person sees the request and accepts, they will be added to the meeting.
