Create a meeting link

There are multiple ways to start an instant meeting. You can start one either through the Chat or Calendar feature.

  1. In Teams, you can do one of the following:

    • From your​​​​​​​  Chat at the bottom of the screen, tap ​​​​​  Meet at the upper-right corner of the screen > Meet now .

    • From your ​​​​​​​  Calendar at the bottom of the screen, tap the Teams community schedule new even button Expand meetings menu at the lower-left corner of the screen > Meet now .

  2. Customize your meeting:

    • Edit meeting name: Tap the   pencil and give your meeting descriptive title.

    • Share invite: Tap Teams Android share icon Share meeting invite to share your meeting link via SMS and more.

    • Copy link: Tap   Copy meeting link to copy the meeting invite link to your clipboard.

    • Change meeting optionsMeeting options icon Tap to configure the meeting's privacy options. You can set Who can bypass the lobby and Who can present options from the dropdown menu. After you make your selection, tap Save .

  3. Tap Start meeting to begin. Your meeting is created, and your meeting link is displayed in the meeting chat. You can copy and share this link at any time.

  4. Set your audio and video options and then tap Join now . You can Add participants or Share meeting invite for people to join.

Note: You can configure the meetings privacy options anytime during the meeting. Tap ​​​​​​​Show participants > Meeting options icon Meeting options . Then you can set Who can bypass the lobby and Who can present options from the dropdown menu. After you make your selections, tap Save .

Create a meeting link

There are multiple ways to start an instant meeting. You can start one either through the Chat or Calendar feature.

  1. In Teams, you can do one of the following:

    • From your  Chat at bottom of the screen, tap  Meet at the upper-left corner of the screen > Meet now .

    • From your  Calendar at the bottom of the screen, tap​​​​​​​   Meet > Meet now .

  2. Customize your meeting:

    • Edit meeting name: Tap  pencil and give your meeting descriptive title.

    • Share invite: Tap Share meeting invite to share your meeting link via SMS and more.

    • Copy link: Tap   Copy meeting link to copy the meeting invite link to your clipboard.

    • Change meeting options: Tap Meeting options icon to configure the meeting's privacy options. You can set Who can bypass the lobby and Who can present options from the dropdown menu. After you make your selection, tap Save .

Create a meeting link

You can create meeting link from web and desktop through the Meet tab. ​​​

Note: The Meet tab is only available on desktop in Microsoft Teams (free). 

  1. In Microsoft Teams (free), go to the Meet Video call button tab and choose Create a meeting link Insert Link button.

  2. Customize your meeting by writing a descriptive title under Give your meeting a title Fluent 2 edit icon small.  

  3. Your meeting will appear under Meeting links where you can Join and Share link

Create a meeting link

  1. In Microsoft Teams (free), go to the Meet Video call button tab and choose Create a meeting link Insert Link button.

  2. Customize your meeting by writing a descriptive title under Give your meeting a title Fluent 2 edit icon small.  

  3. Your meeting will appear under Meeting links where you can Join and Share link
