The new Bing Search experience on the Windows 11 taskbar.

The new Bing is now available to everybody directly from the Windows taskbar, making more ways to interact with your PC across search, answers, chat, and creation available anytime, right on your desktop.

There are three ways to take advantage of the new Bing through the Search function on your taskbar:

Open directly from the Search bar

If the Bing Chat icon is displaying in your Search bar on the taskbar, simply select it and Bing Chat will open in Microsoft Edge.

Open in Search Home

Here's how:

  1. Select the Search icon or the Search bar on your taskbar.

  2. Select the Open in Edge icon in the upper right of the Search box.The new Bing Open in Edge button in the Windows 11 Search box on the taskbar.

The new Bing will open in your browser, ready for your chat prompt.

Type in the Search bar

Here's how:

  1. Select the Search icon or the Search bar on your taskbar.

  2. Type your chat prompt into the Search bar or Search box. (Do not press Enter.)

  3. Select the Chat button in the upper left of the Search box.The new Bing Chat button in the Windows 11 Search box on the taskbar.

The new Bing will open in your browser with your chat prompt already entered for you.
