How to add color backgrounds

Click on the content library tab in the toolbar then scroll down and click on backgrounds.

Once you're inside the backgrounds collection, you'll see the color background options directly below the search bar. Click on the other color option then drag and drop or click on the + button to add to the timeline.

Click on the background color asset in the timeline so it's highlighted then click on the color tab on the property panel.

Click on the color circle then select one of the default solid colors. It will automatically apply to your background asset in the timeline.

There are three options to pick specific colors of your background if you don't want to use the default option. First, you can type in the HEX code. Second, you can click the dropper icon to extract a color from your screen. Third, you can click on the + button and use the HSV color picker to select a specific shade.
How to add gradient backgrounds

Click on the content library tab then select the visuals drop down menu and click on backgrounds. You will then see the color background options appear directly below the search bar.

Click on the gradient option then drag and drop it straight onto your timeline or click the + button to add to the timeline.

Click on the gradient asset in the timeline so it's highlighted, then click on the color tab on the property panel and the color circle.

Once you've clicked the color circle you can select a new gradient from the default options. Alternatively, you can add more colors to your current gradient by clicking the + button.

There are three options to add a new color to your gradient background. First, you can type in the HEX code. Second, you can click the dropper icon to extract a color from your screen. Third, you can click on the + button and use the HSV color picker to select a specific shade.

Change the direction of your gradient by clicking on the direction icon and choose from diagonal, horizontal, vertical, or radial.
How to make a background semi-transparent

Drag and drop a video or image asset onto the timeline above the background asset.

Click the top video asset so it's highlighted then click on the adjust colors tab on the property panel.

Drag the transparency slider to the right for your preferred visibility of the background color.
How to edit the duration of a color or gradient background asset

Click on the color or gradient background asset in the timeline so it's highlighted.

Drag the handles left for shorter or right for longer.
