ISSUE

With your email account configured to use IMAP, you attempt to save a draft email and receive the following error.

"The item cannot be saved because it was changed by another user or in another window.  Do you want to make a copy in the default folder for the item?"

STATUS: WORKAROUND 

The Outlook Team is investigating this issue. When we have more information, we will update this topic.

To work around the issue, do the following

  1. Select Yes to save a copy of the draft email in the Inbox.

  2. Navigate to the Drafts folder.

  3. Open the Draft email.

  4. Edit the email and select save. The edits will be saved to the draft email.
