ISSUE

When you add a Poll to an email, the Poll is not added, and no error is shown. Once you select Add to email, an authentication window flashes on the screen, but the Poll is not added.

Polls not working in Outlook

The Outlook Polls add-in page didn't handle authentication correctly, and as a result, you are unable to insert the Poll link into an email.

STATUS: FIXED

This issue has been fixed as of August 1, 2023. In case of any future unexpected issues or for an alternate way to add a poll, use the steps below:

  1. Go to https://forms.office.com/.

  2. Sign in with your Work Account.

  3. Select New Form.

  4. Add Title and Description.

  5. To add a Choice option for example, select the Choice box.

  6. After you add your question and answer options, select Collect Responses in the top navigation.

  7. In the Send and collect responses window you can copy the link to an email or select the Invitation button to send the form directly.Outlook Polls Send and collect responses
