ISSUE

When you search in Outlook Desktop and use Suggested Searches of people, the results are incomplete or missing. This issue occurs because the encoding of the suggested search is different than expected. The issue occurs mostly with Japanese, Russian, Hebrew, or Greek versions of Outlook but may affect other languages.

STATUS: FIXED

A short-term initial fix has been implemented in version 14524.10000.  A supplemental fix has been implemented in version 14604.10000 to address strings with non-Latin languages. The fixes will first be available to the Office Beta channel. Please check the Update History for Office Beta Channel - Office release notes | Microsoft Docs to see when this build will be available.

We will update this article when more information on a permanent fix as well as additional releases to other builds become available.
